Q: What time does registration begin and where?
Registration Desk and Dorm check-in is available on the 4th Floor of the James J. Whalen Center for Music at the following times:
Tuesday, June 15: 3 pm - 6pm
Wednesday, June 16: 8am - 5pm
Thursday, June 17: 8am - 5pm
Friday, June 18: 8am - 5pm
Saturday, June 19: 8am - 1pm
Q: How do I get to Ithaca College?
From the New York City Area:
Follow Route 17 (soon to be I-86) west to Binghamton and take I-81 north to exit 8 at Whitney Point. Follow Route 79 west into Ithaca. At T-intersection turn left onto Route 96B (Aurora St.) and follow 96B south for approximately one mile. The campus will be on your left.
From Albany and New England:
Follow the New York State Thruway (I-90) west to I-88 (exit 25A). Take I-88 west to Bainbridge (exit 8) and then Route 206 to Whitney Point. Pick up Route 79 west to Ithaca. At T-intersection turn left onto Route 96B (Aurora St.) and follow 96B south for approximately one mile. The campus will be on your left.
From Rochester and Buffalo:
Follow the New York State Thruway (I-90) east to exit 41 at Waterloo. (Do not follow the signs that direct you to Ithaca via Geneva.) Turn right after the toll booth (onto Route 414 south), then left at the red light (onto Route 318 east). Follow Route 318 east several miles. At the T-intersection turn left, then a quick right onto Route 89 to Ithaca. Pick up Route 13 south in Ithaca. After passing Green St., move into the far left lane and go straight onto Route 96B (Clinton St.). Turn right onto Aurora St. (still 96B) and continue for approximately one mile. The campus will be on your left.
From Eastern Pennsylvania and Points South:
Take I-81 north to Whitney Point (exit 8). Pick up Route 79 west to Ithaca. At T-intersection turn left onto Route 96B (Aurora St.) and follow 96B south for approximately one mile. The campus will be on your left.
From Erie, Pennsylvania, and Points West:
Follow Route 17 (soon to be I-86) east to exit 54 and take Route 13 north into Ithaca. Turn right onto Route 96B (Clinton St.) and continue to Aurora St. Turn right onto Aurora St. (still 96B) and continue for approximately one mile. The campus will be on your left.
From Syracuse and Points North:
Follow I-81 south to Cortland (exit 12). Take Route 281 south to Route 13 south to Ithaca. After passing Green St., move into the far left lane and go straight onto Route 96B (Clinton St.). Turn right onto Aurora St. (still 96B) and continue for approximately one mile. The campus will be on your left.

Q: What are the nearest airports?
Tompkins Regional Airport is served by thirteen daily non-stop flights from either LaGuardia (NY), Pittsburgh or Philadelphia Airports on US Airways Express. The Holiday Inn Ithaca offers a free 24-hour shuttle service between the airport and hotel.
Syracuse Hancock International Airport is approximately a 1 hour drive from Ithaca and serviced by American Eagle, Comair, Commutair, Continental Express, Delta Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Northwest Airlines, TransMeridian Airlines, United Express, US Airways and US Airways Express.Greater Binghamton Airport (about 70 minutes drive from Ithaca) offers flights to/from Cincinnati, Detroit, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington, DC on US Airways & US Airways Express, Northwest Airlink, United Express & Delta Connection Comair. Syracuse Hancock International Airport and Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport are the closest to Ithaca College.
Parking is free on Ithaca College Campus but all vehicles MUST display a valid permit available at the ITF Registration Desk in the School of Music Building. The ITF assumes no responsibility or liability for parking tickets, towing charges or boots and stolen or damaged items
Q: Where can I stay during the Festival?
Onsite accommodation:
The Upper Quads are close to the School of Music and Campus Center (Dining Hall). Rooms are not air-conditioned and have shared bath facilities. Single rooms are 8’ wide by 15’ long. Double Rooms are 12'6" wide x 15’6” long. Each hall includes study lounges, televisions lounges, kitchens, vending, and laundry facilities.
Emerson Hall is adjacent to the Garden Apartments complex. Emerson offers numerous study lounges, air conditioning, and private bathrooms with showers. Emerson is three stories and fully handicapped accessible with an elevator. Emerson Hall wings connected by a common area that includes office space, laundry, vending, Kitchen facilities and a TV lounge.
Linen packs are included with every room rental: 2 twin sheets, one pillowcase, two towels, one washcloth and one blanket per person. Fitness Center/Pool Access Card included FREE with all dorm registrations.
Fees per night:
Traditional style residence hall double: $20 per person per night
Traditional style residence hall single: $36 per person per night
Emerson Hall double $36 per person per night
You should collect your room key from the Registration Desk at the James J. Whalen Center for Music (see times above). The Summer Housing Office (in Eastman Hall) is open until 9pm every night for check-in. After 9pm, call Public Safety at 274-3333, and they will page a person to assist with check-ins.
You must check out of the dormitories and return your room key by 11:00am on the day of check-out.
A key replacement charge if $35.00 will be assessed for each key not returned upon departure.
The playing of any radio, phonograph or musical instrument is such volume or creating noise in any other way so as to annoy or disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of persons in any dwelling is prohibited, particularly between 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. Participants experiencing such problems should first contact the individuals responsible for creating the disturbance and if no satisfaction is received, their event coordinator. Participants are responsible for the conduct of their guests, as well as themselves, at all times.

Q: Where can I get food during the Festival?
Food and refreshments are generally restricted to food service areas.
Meal plan vouchers will be available with a different selection of vegetarian meals and choice from the grill, deli specials, pizza and others.

Q: Where can I keep my instrument?
Instruments may NOT be brought into the Ford Hall or Hockett Family Recital Hall. Instrument check services and lockers are available for a nominal charge. No exceptions.
Q: Where can I find a practice room?
Practice Room Facilities are available on the First Floor of the School of Music building. Rooms may not be reserved or held in advance. Practice Rooms will be open from 8:00am until 10:00pm each day.
Q: What should I do in an emergency?
In an emergency, participants should contact the Office of Campus Safety at 274-3333. A First Aid Box is available at the ITF Registration Desk for minor ailments.
The College’s Health Centre will be open from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, and nurse services available from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Health services will be available on an on-call basis at all other times.
Q: What are the College opening hours?

Q: How can I get around Ithaca?
The local bus service TCAT offers excellent connections across the city including between the Green St/Commons to Ithaca College. Buses start at 6am (7:30am on Saturdays) and run every 30 minutes. Journey time from the Downtown Commons to Ithaca College is approximately 15 minutes. The last shuttle from Ithaca College to Ithaca City Center is at 1:14am (including Saturdays). A 5-day unlimited pass costs just $12.50 and can be purchased online at the TCAT website. Single tickets ($1.50 one-way) can be purchased from the driver while boarding the bus.

Q: What else is there to do in Ithaca?
Nestled in the heart of New York State's beautiful Finger Lakes region is Tompkins County, with Ithaca at its center. Long known for the excellence of its educational and research institutions, and more recently for its multitude of scenic wonders, Tompkins County is a great place for a getaway vacation.

This award-winning museum features permanent and changing exhibits on the varied history of the county. Our programs and exhibits are inspired from our collection of over 18,000 objects, 100,000 photographs, and thousands of historic documents. The 1827 Eight Square Schoolhouse is located in Dryden (and is the largest item in our collection). A gift shop and reference library are also available (the reference library is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays only, 11am - 5pm).
