Brandt Attema
Brandt Attema has been bass trombonist with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Holland since 1999 also performing with the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Hague Residentie Orchestra, Nederlands Wind Ensemble, Schonberg and Stravinsky Ensembles and the New Trombone Collective. In September 1999, he won the International Competition for bass trombone in France and has since appeared as soloist and chamber musician at the International Trombone Festival 2000 and 2003 and with the Nieuw Ensemble in January 2004. Attema studied bass and contrabass trombone in Rotterdam with Ben van Dijk and has also received lessons and master classes with Charles Vernon, Michael Mulcahy, Christian Lindberg, Michel Becquet, George Wiegel, Jorgen van Rijen and Bart van Lier.
