American Classic Trombone Quartet
The American Classic Trombone Quartet is one of the premiere trombone quartets in the world. Since being formed in 1987 the A.C.T.Q. has promoted music and the trombone through the performance of original music and arrangements written especially for the trombone quartet. The A.C.T.Q. has performed featured concerts at the International Trombone Fesyival, the Midwest Trombone Workshops, the New York Brass Conference, the Southwest Trombone Euphonium Tuba Workshop and at universities throughout the United States. The A.C.T.Q. is the only trombone quartet to have won First Prize at the Keystone Brass Institute (currently named the Rafael Mendez Brass Institute) International Brass Chamber Music Competition sponsored by the Summit Brass. Its members are Ava Ordman, Jay Evans, Charles Vernon and Don Lucas.
