The All-Star Super Group Vinyl Hampdin is simply one of the most exciting groups on the planet. Made up of Grammy and CCMA-Winning musical virtuosos, this stunning ensemble runs the gamut from stone-cold funk to sticky-fun pop and rocked out epic adventures. With original music and stunning covers composed and arranged by multiple Grammy-nominee composer, producer, and trombonist Steve Wiest, Vinyl Hampdin is an electrifying modern horn band with an amazing lead vocalist in Lisa Dodd.

Their first album RED contains eleven sizzling offerings including originals such as Pay for It, Diamonds, Billions, and One Song along with brilliant covers of such classics as Stevie Wonder’s Superstition, Paul McCartney’s My Love, and Bill Wither’s Use Me. Their second project BLUE will be released in the summer or 2021 and will consist of eleven more great tracks. With a stage show that is one of the best on the road today, along with an educational component second to none, Vinyl Hampdin is the ultimate musical experience for everyone!

“I decided to create Vinyl Hampdin to answer the question “What would Chicago, BS&T, or Tower of Power sound like if they started out today?” I’ve always loved Chicago’s Jimmy Pankow: his playing, sound, horn writing, and the trombone-heavy mix of the band. That’s what we use with Vinyl Hampdin, but we also have the STELLAR lead trumpet of Frank Greene to sparkle on the top of the whole thing as well as Art Bouton’s super funky bari sax as the foundation. I also chose to write originals as well as high-octane covers. It’s a dream come true for me. What a joy!

And, we have a very special surprise in store for our ITF concert. It’s gonna be EPIC!”

We here at the ITF are super excited to present Vinyl Hampdin as the slam-dunk closing to this year’s festival, Saturday July 17 at 8:00. Be there or be square!
