Domenico Catalano

Domenico Catalano studied the trombone for seven years in Lucerne, under Professor Markus Wuest. Recently he obtained the place of bass trombonist at the Sinfonieorchester Basel, after having played a season with the Orchestra of the Tonhalle Zurich.

As a soloist he has won several competitions, such as the Friedl Wald Foundation Prize in Basel, the Edwin Fischer Award and recently the Swiss Chamber Music Competition as a member of the Lucerne Bone Connection ensemble.
