HENRY ROMERSA TRAVEL GRANTS: OPEN TO STUDENTS OR EDUCATORS

Henry Romersa is the founder of the National Trombone Workshop, which he organized for the first time in Nashville, Tennessee in the summer of 1971.  The event eventually evolved into the International Trombone Workshop, and traveled the world, taking place at venues in Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Finland, and locations all across the US.  Henry's vision for a world-renown, annual trombone event continues to be realized today, as the International Trombone Festival.

The Henry Romersa Fund provides travel support to an educator or student, wishing to attend the ITF; Priority is given to educators

Application deadline: April 15, 2024

Materials needed for application:
-Personal Statement, outlining financial need, your interest in attending the ITF, what you hope to gain from the experience, and any other pertinent information you would like the committee to consider
-Letter of recommendation (optional)
-Resume and publicity photo (optional)

AWARD
The winning applicant will receive:
-Up to $750 in travel reimbursement/hotel to attend the ITF at Texas Christian University, May 29-June 1, 2024
-Ground transportation (shuttle) from airport (DFW only)

Policies:
-Award will reimburse actual travel costs, either for airfare, or mileage/rental car, but not both
-Award recipients must register and pay to attend the ITF
