Before coming to the Gothenburg Opera, she was Principal Trombonist of the Stuttgarter Philhamoniker (Germany) for three years.
Here’s something really different! Louise teams up with her percussion colleague to present a concert of works for trombone and marimba/percussion. The diversity of styles is impressive, and her lyrical playing is quite beautiful. Give it a listen!
Growing up in Switzerland and graduating with distinctions from the Zürich High School for Mathematics and Science (Rämibühl), she received her music education at the University of Music Freiburg (Germany), where she studied with Branimir Slokar, and graduated with highest distinction (Bachelor of Music). Louis continued her studies at the University of Music Stuttgart (Germany), studying with Henning Wiegräbem and completed the degree Master of Music in 2012.
Louise currently teaches at the University of Gothenberg.
