Hi, any update on Registration links, and housing costs for Youth participants?
Jodie – Sorry for the delay. We’re hoping to post that information in the next day or so. Still waiting on final details from the University. Thank you for checking in!
any updates on registration links?
Registration is open: https://trombonefestival.net/2018/03/12/registration-is-open/
Are there any student scholarships?
Hi Russ – We do not currently have a program for student scholarships. Sorry that I can’t be more help there!
-Karen Marston
Do you mean that the Hotel is LESS than the Dorm? Or is the hotel $139 per DAY, not per room as it’s listed here? Thanks Karen.
The hotel has a nightly rate of $139 per room. You can book that for any number of nights you wish, whereas the dorms are booked as a block of nights, for the duration of the Festival, and partial bookings are not allowed. I have added “per night” to the hotel information in order to avoid further confusion.
[…] The special registration rate for Workshop Composers is $200 (full festival, more information here). Housing is available either on-site (dorms), or in local hotels (more information […]
Any update yet on when links will go live?
Thanks.
Tom – Sorry, I do not have an update at this time. We are working on it, and will have that information as soon as possible. If you have an urgent need to complete registration, such as for a school funding request, please let us know.
Any update on registration?

Hello,
Are supporting artists (i.e. collaborative pianists, etc.) required to pay for registration? Thanks very much!
James Boldin
Hi James! No, supporting artists will not have to pay for a badge. You will need to register – stand by for instructions. You will hear from us via email. Thanks!
Is there a schedule of events?
Hi Emmy – Yes! The schedule of events is available on our Event Squid site, at: https://www.eventsquid.com/event.cfm?event_id=2649&fromdash
I have a student who is 16. When his grandmother registered him, she was under the impression he could not attend everything. Is there some sort of filter for those under 18?
Hi Russ – Students under the age of 18 are a part of the Youth Workshop, which includes a schedule of exclusive events for developing players. Youth Workshop participants attend events within the full Festival schedule, but also benefit master classes (such as from Chris Bill), that are just for them. For a full schedule of Youth Workshop activities, please visit this page: https://trombonefestival.net/2018/04/05/youth-workshop-schedule/

Hi, I was wondering, what all is included in the non-Trombonist registration compared to the full registration?
Hi Darin – The non-trombonist registration is a guest pass, for people attending with a spouse, parent, or other partner (who is a trombonist). These passes will grant access to all events. Thanks!
We want to come to see the vendors but will not be able to attend the conference, is that possible and how much will that cost? We would be driving quite a distance in search if specialty mouthpieces and would like an answer before we leave town. We’ve emailed and not gotten an answer yet.
Thank you!
Hi! You can attend the exhibits on a single event ticket, which costs $10. This is a one-time entry, and will be good for a single day only. You can purchase single event tickets on our registration site (https://www.eventsquid.com/event.cfm?id=2649). From there, you will be able to print (or save to your phone) a bar code for entry. Have fun at the Festival!
